Dia de los Muertos

Levelland Middle School students are discovering the beauty & meaning behind Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in the LMS library with Mrs. Braziel. They learned that this special Mexican tradition honors & remembers loved ones who have passed away. They studied the colorful symbols, meaningful traditions & rich history behind this celebration. From vibrant marigolds & decorated sugar skulls to beautiful ofrendas (altars), each tradition tells a story of love, family & remembrance. Then they enjoyed some quiet relaxation time decorating their own art to represent the day! Thank you, Mrs. Braziel for teaching current events that are so important to our families. You're helping students find their place!
