Drones in Action!
Levelland Middle School drone teams participated in the 5th Annual AirBattles Drone Competition on Saturday, April 25. This year’s theme, “Air Raid,” challenged teams to collaborate and complete as many tasks as possible before time expired. The first round lasted three minutes, followed by a second round of two minutes. Students navigated a series of obstacles, including takeoff and landing in designated target zones, maneuvering through vertical pylons, weaving through a vertical hoop challenge, and flying precisely through speed gates. While our teams did not place in the top three, the experience provided valuable learning opportunities. Students strengthened their teamwork and communication skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges involved in drone flight. We are so proud of this program and all that students learn from the challenges put in front of them.
