Coding in Action!

LMS students in Mrs. Griggs’ 6th-Grade Coding classes have been exploring how algorithms and programs work by designing instructions for a cup-stacking robot arm (a.k.a. their classmates!). Students worked together to write step-by-step instructions in a special “cup-stacking language” to stack cups in specific patterns. Then, they put their programs to the test by having their “robot” classmates follow the code to complete the task. It was a fun, hands-on way to see how important clear instructions are in coding—and how a small error can change the whole outcome! We love that our LMS students are coding and developing crucial skills in problem-solving, creativity, and logical reasoning! Thank you, Mrs. Griggs!
