Meet the new LMS Assistant Principal....

Mandy Leach has been chosen as the new assistant principal at the Middle School. She will be joining Mr. Luna in her role under Principal Laurie Jones. She was born and raised in Graham, Texas. Mandy earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University. With twenty years of experience in education, she has taught Special Education, Pre-K, Kindergarten, Third Grade, and Math Intervention for First through Fifth grades. In her last eight years in the classroom, Mandy focused on supporting students struggling with math, aiming to close learning gaps and foster a more successful learning environment. She is set to receive her Masters in Instructional Leadership from Lamar University in December 2024. Ms. Leach states, "Throughout my last twenty years in education, I have witnessed numerous changes in our education system. However, my passion for students and watching them learn and grow, creating those “aha” moments, has remained constant. Every student can learn! The way they learn may differ from their peers, but with dedication, hard work, and encouragement growth will happen. As I begin my chapter in administration, I hope to instill this mindset in the teachers at LMS. Not only do I believe this for the students, but I also believe this to be true for the staff.
